Antique Hand-Carved Mother-of-Pearl Medallion Necklace
At the heart of this necklace rests an extraordinary antique mother-of-pearl medallion, carved in China during the early twentieth century. Finely pierced and hand-crafted, the large medallion depicts birds amongst blossoming branches and weathered rock formations, rendered with remarkable delicacy and depth. The medallion has been suspended from a double strand of Japanese black glass seed beads, newly hand-strung on silk thread and finished with a vintage mother-of-pearl button closure. Designed to be removable, the pendant and necklace may be worn independently, offering versatility in styling.
